On November 14, 2020, Nam Long held the handover ceremony for the first products of the 355-hectare Waterpoint. Watanabe, the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the government authorities in Ben Luc district, Long An province, Nishi Nippon Railroad (Japan), Nam Long, TBS Group, Tan Hiep and 600 customers joined the ceremony.

After 14-month construction of the infrastructure and housing complexes, 600 units including commercial townhouses, garden townhouses, Valora duplex villas and detached villas at Rivera 1, Aquaria 1 in the 165-ha phase 1 of Waterpoint township have been completed.

At the event, the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, Watanabe said: “The Japan - Vietnam relations are at their highest point after the new Prime Minister of Japan, Suga Yoshihide chose Vietnam as the first destination for his tour. The Vietnamese government, with its drastic policies against Covid-19, has made Vietnam a destination that many Japanese enterprises wish to invest despite the ongoing pandemic. In the future, the Vietnam - Japan relations will be strengthened in all aspects. The forecast has shown that Vietnam will continue with positive growth in 2020, Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces will continue to play the leading roles in the economy and the housing construction responding to the shift in population due to urbanisation is belived to be key to a sustaianble growth. Following the current, Nam Long and NNR have cooperated to build satellite housing in Ho Chi Minh City since 2015. Waterpoint is built by learned experience of Nam Long, leading company in the housing construction, in partnership with NNR, a longtime corporation developing public transport system in the suburban of Japan. After today’s visit, I believe that this project will bring customers high quality products, eco-friendly living environment and a convenient and comfortable life.”
With a 5,8-km long riverfront next to Vam Co Dong, Waterpoint is the Riverside City that has a rapid construction speed and many internationally standardized facilities built for the residents.
